HGV Class 1 Driver

Basildon, Essex Temporary £18.50 per hour, paid weekly

Trunking work out of Basildon with set start times, no handballing and a guaranteed 50 hours a week through the winter peak.

The role

Our client is a national distribution business with a depot in Basildon. We are building their winter driving pool and need Class 1 drivers for ongoing trunking runs to Midlands and North West hubs.

You will start on a Monday-to-Friday rota with predictable start times between 04:00 and 06:00, and the contract runs through to the end of February with the option to go permanent.

Pay is weekly, and we pay the full shift even on the rare occasion a load runs short.

What we are looking for

Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
No more than six penalty points, no IN or DR endorsements
At least two years of Class 1 experience preferred
