Cover Supervisor — Secondary School

Brentwood, Essex Contract £105–£125 per day

Day-to-day cover supervision in a Brentwood secondary school, working to pre-set lesson plans with no marking expected.

The role

We supply cover supervisors to a partnership of secondary schools across Essex. This booking is for an academy in Brentwood that needs reliable cover three to five days a week through to the end of the spring term.

You will supervise classes where the teacher is absent, deliver pre-planned work, keep students on task and hand over notes at the end of the day. No planning or marking is expected.

This is a good route into a teaching assistant or PGCE application, and the school has a strong record of taking people on permanently.

What we are looking for

Experience working with secondary-age young people
Confident managing behaviour in a classroom
Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
Available at least three days a week
